Homemade Chicken Alfredo

Have you ever been starving, but refused to eat because you want the perfect meal? That’s what happened to me the other night. Finally my sister and I ended up pulling everything out of the fridge we could find. What we found were the ingredients for this homemade Alfredo sauce.

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 8 ounce package of cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 ounce grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • tomatoes, if you have them
  • about 1 1/2 pounds of chicken
  • 1 red pepper (or if you have any other peppers, add those too)
  • a little onion
  • flour if you’re me

  1. melt the butter in a sauce pan
  2. insert cream cheese and garlic powder, stir with whisk until smooth
  3. add milk and stir to smooth out lumps
  4. add parmesan cheese and pepper
  5. at this point, it’s going to look like a sauce, but if it isn’t as thick as you like, add some flour and it should help
  6. add the veggies of your choice
  7. saute the chicken in a separate pan in small pieces until each piece looks white
  8. add the chicken to the sauce
  9. done!

Serve this on some hot pasta and enjoy!
